Adrienne Akin Faulkner

Born in Dallas, Texas to Justice and Mrs. Ted Akin, Adrienne Akin Faulkner has an infectious passion for Design and Architecture. It is rumored that she inherited this passion by following in the footsteps of her famous grandfather, architect George L. Dahl. Dahl, a visionary clearly ahead of his time, is admired and revered for his multitude of works but is most noted for his role as Chief Architect and orchestrator of the 1936 Centennial Worlds Fair Exposition in Dallas, Texas.

Ms. Faulkner graduated Cum Laude from The University of Texas at Austin with a B.B.A. in Finance/ International Business with a minor in Accounting in 1985. She went on to graduate with Honors with a Professional Certificate in Interior Design from El Centro College in 1990 where she received The Most Outstanding Student Award. Soon after she completed her degree, she went to work for Fusch – Serold and Partners Architects setting up their Interior Design Department. During the summer of 1992, in the second bedroom of her home, she created Adrienne Faulkner Interiors. Her first client was Dallas Cowboys’ quarterback Troy Aikman. Nine months later with three employees, she moved into a 2,500 square foot office with clientele including Lincoln Property Company and JPI.

Faulkner Design Group has grown into a fully integrated Interior and Architectural Design Firm offering a wide range of Design Services for its clients. Currently, the firm employs a twenty five person staff in a 9,000 square foot mixed use office and has successfully installed over six hundred luxury condominium, multifamily, senior and assisted living, and student housing communities, as well as hospitality and corporate projects nationwide.
