Our desire to implement the ever-evolving practices of interior design and continuously grow our knowledge of the industry culminates with the invaluable presence of interior design interns as part of our team. An FDG internship is an equal balance of learning and teaching as interns assist with the design process from developing concepts to installations, touching all aspects of the project and familiarizing themselves with our resource library and local vendors. In tandem, interns bring fresh ideas and concepts from the classroom to the drawing board, allowing the design team to think through this new perspective as they teach the next generation of designers.

All About the Experience

FDG interns are privy to endless opportunities for growth, connections, and tricks of the trade that can’t be gained in the classroom. Much of the design process is learned on the job, therefore our interns will have the ability to apply skills and theories to realistic scenarios. This is an invaluable experience that will provide students with a full understanding of the multifamily and senior living industry to which they can apply to school projects and take into their future careers. FDG maintains the importance of relationships through events that encourage interns and team members alike to grow together and learn from one another. Our work hard, play hard mentality establishes an environment where creativity and progress are acknowledged with team appreciation events and incentives that drive individuals to continue thinking up the latest and greatest in design.
