Accolade on Chestnut Wins Student Housing Business Innovation Award
The Accolade on Chestnut was recently awarded the Best Renovation of Existing University Housing by Student Housing Business in their Innovator Awards Program.
The Accolade on Chestnut received recognition for restoration efforts completed last fall. Intending to enhance the graduate student experience while maintaining affordable rental rates, Greystar conducted a comprehensive modernization of the building while preserving its historic exterior.
Originally designed by internationally renowned architect, Richard Neutra, the building’s exterior facade was maintained replacing only the windows, while the interior underwent a complete renovation. The $97.5 million renovation transformed The Accolade on Chestnut into a modern, engaged living and learning community. Prominent enhancements include upgraded common areas featuring a fitness/wellness center, meeting rooms, study spaces, and entertainment areas, all infused with modern lighting and art reflecting the University's rich academic history.
