GETTING TO KNOW CONNI
Dedicated and diverse, Conni began as Faulkner Design’s new Marketing & Creative Manager just in time for the start of Spooky Season. As the newest member of the FDG team, Conni’s experience and vast knowledge in the fields of architecture and marketing were warmly welcomed and eagerly awaited. After graduating from the University of Kansas with a Bachelor in Architectural Studies and working for various leading architecture and construction firms, Conni finally found her way to the FDG family. Bringing with her a “willing-and-ready” attitude and a calming presence to the office, the whole FDG team was buzzing about her arrival.
Conni’s experience and education with architecture and marketing, and her overall success in the world of architecture and design makes her a force to be reckoned with. With a whole slew of architecture and design awards she’s amassed over the years through detailed award writing, Conni has dubbed herself “The Project Biographer.” (And we agree!)
HOMETOWN
Dallas, TX
Home truly is where the heart is, and Conni couldn’t agree more. Moving around quite a bit while growing up, Conni has lived in Dallas longer than any other city. She greatly enjoys the city’s atmosphere and the diverse selection of activities offered, including the Perot Museum of Nature and Science and the Dallas Symphony Orchestra at Meyerson Symphony Center.

FAVORITE FDG EVENT
First Day
The first day is always the hardest, but Conni felt right at home by FDG’s warm and welcoming team. Senior Procurement Specialist, Liza, was able to give Conni a tour of the office and Resource Library, with a group lunch to follow that allowed the design team to get to know Conni.
FAVORITE ACCOMPLISHMENT
Raising a Family
A proud mom of two amazing kiddos, Eva and James, and a wonderful wife to architect, Patrick, Conni finds immense joy and pride in her family. While being a mom is no easy task, Conni goes above and beyond, and makes being a successful working mother look like a piece of cake.
FAVORITE MOVIE
“Joe Versus The Volcano”
Though Guardians of the Galaxy came in a close second, Conni adores how this movie speaks to how having purpose in life can completely change your perspective of how you’re living. She also loves the Louis Vuitton luggage trunks and the violin case mini-bar.
FAVORITE SUPERHERO
Star-Lord
While it’s hard to choose just one of the Guardians of the Galaxy members, Conni had to go with the main character, Peter Quill (aka Star Lord). How could you not love a hero that busts out dancing during the middle of a fight scene?

“The Umbrella Academy”
Though she didn’t tune in until the second season, Conni found a love for this Netflix original show. Her favorite character is Five, one of the original characters who has the ability to time travel. A close second is Hazel, an anti-hero, time traveling assassin.

With such a diverse set of unique characters and a thought-provoking story line, Conni enjoys the lesson of compassion and courage that comes from within each individual.

Crested Butte, CO
Conni is an advocate of travel, currently dreaming of the day that travel becomes safe again. For now, she holds on to the memory of this beautiful ski town that encompasses natural beauty and great skiing.

When COVID-19 shut down the U.S., Conni and her husband took to their backyard to create a beautiful garden. Through mistakes and mistrials, Conni loves to watch her plants grow.

Just around the corner is a day of gratitude and feasts. Conni reminisces over home cooked meals her parents used to prepare and keeps the tradition alive with her homemade stuffing.

Traveling the world is a must for Conni and her family who have been itching to get out of Texas and venture into the unknown. A family-trip favorite for Conni was a family reunion in Chicago where they spent days exploring the city, visiting museums, attending baseball games, and taking in all of the innovative architecture of the bustling, river-side city. When she’s not traveling, Conni is playing with her 5-month-old Boxer, Bishop, who loves to be chased around the backyard. An avid lover of sushi with music tastes that are all over the charts and an adoration for skiing, Conni is quite the explorer.

Mix-n-Match Meals
Do you ever look into the pantry and say, “I have nothing to eat,” when actually there’s just a hodgepodge of random food waiting to be consumed? Conni’s specialty is making something out of nothing, crafting meals our of a diverse selection of food that you wouldn’t think to toss together. Her favorite meal thus far is Brisket Tacos - tater-tots smothered in brisket, cheese, BBQ sauce, sour cream, onions, jalapenos, and anything else you’d like to add . (Sounds delicious, right?)
